Day of January, 1969, Berger Paints Nig. Plc is
a leader in the manufacturing, development,
distribution and sale of paints and coatings to
professional, Industrial, commercial and retail
customers in Nigeria. We operate in 5 business
segements; Decorative, Industrial coatings,
Marine and Protecton coatings, Automotive/
Vehicle refinishes and Wood Preservers and
finishes. Our portfolio includes well known
brands such as Luxol,Texcote and Superstar.
The company operates its manufacturing plant
and main distribution centre from Lagos
Nigeria. With 18 depots, colour world centres
and a countrywide distribution network of
dealers/distributors in strategic locations
spread throughout the country, Berger Paints
Nig.Plc remains at the forefront of the paint
and allied industry in Nigeria. We are
committed to manufacturing and supplying
quality products; towards this end we acquired
and actively maintain the ISO 9001.2008
Quality Management System Certification.
In 2012, Berger Paints Nig.Plc entered into a
partnership arrangement with the biggest paint
company in South Korea, KCC to jointly serve
the Nigerian paint and coating market. The
partnership will afford our customers the
quality and durability that Marine and
protective market have found synonymous with
the KCC brands.
Berger Paints Nigeria Plc is recruiting to fill
the position of:
Job Title: Sales Canvassers
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Contract (Annually Reviewed)
Job Duties:
Act as a contact between the company and its
existing and potential customers.
To maintain, develop and establish relationship
with existing customer and prospects in
person, telephone calls and via emails etc.
Continuous Identification of new business
opportunities, develop new prospects and
establish business relationship with them.
To represent the company in trade fairs,
exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
Liaise with depots within your territory and
check the progress of deliveries on existing
orders, to keep record of inventories.
Identify viable projects in your territory.
Attend team meetings and share best practises
with colleagues.
To send daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and
yearly reports to supervisor and Head office as
directed and in specified formats.
Ensure that all the company tools and assets
are well maintained and kept in good condition
at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum of First degree
Skills: The Ideal candidate must be an effective
communicator, a problem solver, an individual
with a good self image, well mannered and
courteous. A naturally persuasive person and
must have the ability to listen. He/she must be
a person of integrity.
Years of Experience: 1 – 2 years experience.
