Job Title: Cashier

Location: Lagos

Basic Function of the Position:

This position is for the principal cashier, who is responsible for the receipt, disbursement, collection, accountability, safe-keeping, and replenishment of official U.S. government funds and other cash items and transactions. Incumbent is also responsible for oversight of three subcashiers, and working with the other embassy cashiers.

Position Requirements:

NOTE: All applicants MUST address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criterion or the application will not be considered.

►    Completion of Secondary School is required.

►    Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Accounting and performing cashier work is required.

►    Level IV (fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required.

►    Must have an expert knowledge of the policies, guidelines and regulations governing cashiering operations.

►    Must have ability to detect fraudulent bills with expert knowledge of local law and practices of banking financial institutions regarding negotiable instruments and other practices.

►    The ability to effectively utilize computer and financial software is required
